This must be my third post about Ocean Park and yet I am so excited to talk about it once again! I think the excitement flows from my kids to me and vice versa. First it was all about the park, the playground, the rides, the aquarium, now its about feeling all “grown-up,” meeting height restrictions for bigger, better rides, but the real pleasure is in re-living all the memories associated to this unique theme park.
I’ve stopped counting the number of times we’ve been to this theme park, all I know is that we are going there today after a long time and we are going during Halloween which makes it even more special!
The entire day was well planned by both my boys during their morning shower. Shrieks and squeals when they are planning something together is music to my ears as I packed our lunches, snacks and drinks humming to myself, feeling thankful to God and my dear husband that I did not have a full-time job which lets me have these treats whenever I fancy…
It’s 5:30pm now. The day is almost coming to an end as I sit and type this on my phone while my boys are playing hide n seek in the make-believe castle in Whiskers playground. After executing the plan to perfection starting with the cable car ride, going to The Summit – covering all possible rides in the Rainforest, Polar Adventure, Thrill Mountain zones and then heading to my favourite Adventure Land with its age-old Raging River and Mine Train rides, a short break for lunch, then Marine World with their favourite Dragon ride, a few more repeat rides and then back to The Waterfront. It was planned so well that we didn’t face any queues anywhere! It’s as if we know the flow of traffic at Ocean Park!
I thought after all this they would’ve had enough but Whiskers Harbour is a special favourite! The pink train ride, Frog Hopper, the playground where they now look like giants and now of course the castle!
I love Halloween-themed Ocean Park with it’s spooky decorations, evil monsters lurking round the corner, tattoo and face painting stalls and best of all the ghost houses with live people scaring the life out of you jumping out from the shadows! It’s fun being at the park after sunset to watch these evil wonders go live and also to watch their 7 o’clock finale show as water and fire dance to lilting tunes!
I am ready to go home now but not before taking a zillion more pictures of this place in order to make a fresh batch of memories ready for our next visit! Would love to hear more about your Ocean park visits!
